Project: Sixth Form Dormitories, Ellesmere College

Project Design & Management of a 20 bed dormitory extension to the 6th form school, together with study and recreational facilities. Services included the obtaining of all statutory consents, obtaining tenders and managing the project through to completion.

Project: Chemistry & Physics Departments
Type: Refurbishment
Client: Shrewsbury Sixth Form College
Value: £150,000
Programme: 6 weeks

Silk Sharples Jennings were to project manage the internal refurbishment of the Chemistry and Physics Departments. The work involved major structural alterations to the interior of a Grade II Listed building together with the refitting of all Chemistry and Physics Laboratories. 

Works were completed on time, to budget, with full statutory approvals obtained before works commenced.

Client: Hatchers Solicitors LLP

Silk Sharples Jennings were instructed to undertake a complete internal refurbishment of this mature three storied property.  Works involved the complete internal refurbishment to provide modern office accommodation within a mature, prominently located office building formerly used as an antique showroom.

The project was completed on time, to budget and to a quality required by the client.

Silk Sharples Jennings were instructed to provide a feasibility report into the cost effectiveness of converting this existing 31,000 sq. ft. industrial unit into a modern, highly equipped office / warehouse facility for a major international company. The feasibility study confirmed that the refurbishment of the building would be more cost effective than building a new structure and therefore Silk Sharples Jennings were instructed to design and project manage the conversion / refurbishment of this existing building into a modern facility.

Client: AXYZ Properties Ltd
Value: £750,000
Programme: 5 months

10,000 sqft factory complete with offices. Silk Sharples Jennings were responsible for the complete design and project management of this facility, including obtaining Planning Permission and all other Statutory Consents. The project was completed on time and within budget.
