Project: Royal Bank of Scotland

We were engaged by the Royal Bank of Scotland to act as monitoring surveyor for the Bank who were the main funders for this development. Our service included the monitoring of the construction, ensuring compliance with the client’s brief, ensuring that the project was completed within budget and quality.

Project: Abbotts House, Butcher Row, Shrewsbury

Value: £55,000
Programme: 3 months

We were engaged to undertake repairs to this Grade II Listed Building and upgrade fire precautions to comply with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2006.

Listed Building consent was obtained and close liaison with the Conservation Officer was required to ensure the Listed status of the building was not affected.

Project: 48/50 Green End, Whitchurch

Client: Mercian Developments Ltd

The original property is located in the Conservation Area of Whitchurch. The client required additional retail space together with the refurbishment of a redundant and dilapidated storage facility at the rear of the site.

A full project design and management service was provided including the obtaining if all statutory consents.

The project was completed on budget and to programme and now the premises are trading and have been since 2007.

The scheme increased the rental value of the property to the benefit of the Landlord.

Project: Bloxwich Hall, Bloxwich, Walsall

Client: Bloxwich Housing Trust

The original building comprised a Grade II Listed structure which had been used by a major local IT company as offices. Silk Plant & Associates Limited were instructed by Bloxwich Housing Trust to completely refurbish the interior of the building in consultation with the Local Conservation Officer to improve the office accommodation, create up to date disabled access and to fit security partitions within the public areas.

Silk Plant & Associates Limited undertook a full project design and management service obtaining the necessary statutory consents, obtaining tenders, contract managing the project on site to final completion.

Project: J T Hughes Car Showroom, Oswestry

Full project Design & Management service was provided to turn a dilapidated former retail unit into a modern car showroom.

All necessary statutory consents were obtained for the client, followed by the management of a contract to refurbish the building which included both internal and external improvements.
